Publish Authority:Department for the Promotion of Private Participation, MOF Publish Date:2021/08/18

The website “PPP i MAP,” established by the Ministry of Finance (MOF), was formally issued on August 19th, 2021. The PPP cases to be released from the second half of this year to the first half of next year are gathered and shown on the website. All industries are very welcome to visit the website for more information (PPP i MAP: https://www.2021taiwanppip.com.tw/).

The MOF explained that in response to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, it set up the PPP i MAP website for virtual network marketing as a substitute for the 2021 Taiwan PPIP Investment Convention. The government considered the trend of network marketing and its application due to the pandemic. The website features investment information in an investors’ manual, which includes investment opportunities and highlights cases for investors in order to quickly have a clear picture of all relevant regulations and procedures for private participation in public infrastructure. Investors can also make use of the graphic design built into the GIS system to make a quick inquiry into cases. With an information and communication device at hand, it is easy to gain a comprehensive overview of the business opportunities anywhere and anytime.

The MOF further stated that the PPP i MAP website presents a total of 99 PPP cases which were initiated with an all-out effort made by 18 central and local governments. The total investment amount reaches nearly NTD 200 billion. Moreover, the sectors of public infrastructure vary, from fundamental public infrastructure, including transportation facilities and environmental pollution prevention facilities; welfare facilities, such as social welfare, sport, and cultural and educational facilities; business facilities, such as tourist attractions and lodgings, and development of stations and harbors, and property rights of superficies or governmentled urban renewal. This website provides rolling update case details, so that investors are able to obtain the latest information of business opportunities. The MOF wishes that the rolling update approach can help aid in strengthening connections by accelerating effective matching opportunities.
