Ministry of Finance’s Golden Thumb Awards Application Deadline Extended to June 28, 2021

Publish Authority:Department for the Promotion of Private Participation, MOF Publish Date:2021/06/25
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the 19th “Golden Thumb Awards for Private Participation in Infrastructure Projects” application date has been extended to June 28, 2021. We encourage all teams to kindly seize the opportunity for submission.

The Ministry of Finance states that the application period for the 19th Golden Thumb Awards, which had originally been slated for May 5 to June 4, had been extended to June 18 due to the nationwide COVID-19 pandemic Level 3 epidemic lert imposed starting on May 19. The further extension of Level 3 epidemic lert has caused some government agencies and private institutions to adopt split operation and work from home measures, resulting in a lack of preparation for this year’s applications. In order to encourage outstanding projects to actively participate, the Ministry of Finance further extended the entry deadline until June 28, and all organizations and private teams are called on to take advantage of the extended deadline and enthusiastically submit for application.

The Ministry of Finance further explained that, although applicants in past years would make their submission in person to the Ministry of Finance, due to the epidemic, it is recommended this year that applicants mail in their submission, reducing cross-regional movement and lowering the risk of contact infection. For more information on the Golden Thumb Awards application, kindly visit the Golden Thumb Awards section on the Ministry of Finance Private Participation in Infrastructure Projects information website (http://ppp.mof.gov.tw).
