Purpose of project

The Southern District Waste Management Plant was built on January 20, 2000. It is operated by Southern District Waste Management Plant (hereinafter referred to as the Plant) of Environmental Protection Bureau (public enterprise). The Plant has been in operation for more than 20 years. Part of incineration facilities are old and difficult to maintain, leading to a lower operational efficiency. Considering the complexity of waste disposal, there is a need to invite professional vendors to invest relevant resources. To reduce the financial burden of the city government, while making use of private resources, the project is established and will be implemented in accordance with article 8, item 4 of the “Act for Promotion of Private Participation in Infrastructure Projects”.
